Account Information – When you subscribe or create a Pro account, we collect your first name, last name, and email address.
Travel Data – When you enter Schengen Area entry/exit dates, we store that information to calculate stay durations.
b. Information Collected Automatically
We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with the site. This may include IP address, browser type, device info, pages visited, and session duration. Data is aggregated and anonymized wherever possible.
c. Information Handled by Third Parties
Payments are securely processed by Stripe. We never store your full credit-card details—only payment confirmations.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and maintain the Service
- Process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe
- Send essential service emails (verification, billing, updates)
- Analyze aggregated usage data to improve performance
Legal Basis (EEA users): contract necessity, consent (for analytics), and legitimate interest (for improvement).
3. Data Storage and Security
Guest Mode: Data remains locally in your browser and disappears when you close the session.
Pro Accounts: Data is stored securely in Google Firebase with encryption in transit and at rest. We use strict access controls and monitoring.

5. Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, all associated data is removed within 30 days except legally required records (e.g., payments).

- Access or update your profile via your dashboard
- Delete trips or your entire account (data removed within 30 days)
- Opt out of Google Analytics with the Opt-out Add-on

7. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed or stored in the United States or other regions where our providers operate. We use lawful transfer mechanisms to protect your information.
8. Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If a minor has submitted data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The latest version will show the revised date. Significant changes will be announced via our website or email. Continued use after updates means you accept the new policy.
10. Language and Translations
This Privacy Policy may be translated for convenience. If any translation differs from the English version, the English version governs.
